Waterloo, ON - Despite dominating the Toronto FC Academy in their season-opener, K-W United were unable to secure a win over their next opponents: the Michigan Bucks.
K-W fell prey to the Bucks, the 2014 PDL Champions, and suffered a 6-0 loss against a team who when last faced, they eliminated from the playoffs. Scoring their first goal within just 10 seconds of game play, the Bucks took an early lead that seemed to all but grow as K-W fought to land the ball in their opposition's territory.
But the first loss of the season will not keep K-W United players down.
With new faces and tenured players colliding, the United's 2016 PDL team is eager to sync-up and leverage the unique skills and strengths that each individual brings to the field. With the Michigan loss providing the fuel needed, K-W United are looking ahead to their next game and their next big win.
The United will travel to face off against the Dayton Dutch Lions on their home turf on Friday, May 27th. You can catch live updates of the games by following us on Twitter: @KWUnitedFC
